In conjunction with CITS and SPA, the Library offers support and consultative services for data management. Through the LibGuides, workshops, and appointments, we are here to serve your needs in data management and sharing. Please contact us if you have any questions!
In Fall 2015, the Carney Library will offer its second series of instructional sessions for topics in data management. The class series will be held from 3-4 pm on Tuesdays during the month of October, and will be co-taught by librarians Zac Painter, Dawn Gross, and Liz Winiarz. Click here for more information.
This LibGuide is mapped in a similar fashion to a typical National Science Foundation (NSF) proposal. Approximately one half of UMD grant awards come from the NSF, and the NSF is a leader in data management practice for the United States. Other funding agencies will have different requirements, but much of what they want to know will be addressed here. References to the Engineering Directorate of NSF are listed here, but this guide isn't just for engineers or NSF proposals. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about your specific funding agency needs.
To assist your efforts, UMass Dartmouth has become an official partner with DMPTool to provide you with place to store your plans for data management. Our single-sign on is fully linked, so all you need to do to use the tool is simply log in with your UMassD credentials under our institution name.
