"Map" is used for land, "Chart" is for air or water. They accomplish the same task - provide information for best travel from point A to point B.

Charts? Maps? What's the difference?

The Carney Library maintains a map and chart collection on the 3rd floor. Both offer the gift of inspiring the imagination in addition to their basic functions of showing the relationship between spaces. Give it a try.
