MassDEP enforces laws that protect the air, water, and land in Massachusetts. They provide permitting and reporting forms, have various subcommittees to meet different environmental needs, and provide access to environmental laws and rules currently in effect.
Government agencies are not inherently unbiased. Keep in mind that funding allocation, political leanings, and economic motivation can have a role in how an agency functions. Evaluate government websites as you would any other website and don't assume a .gov extension is 100% trustworthy.
