Search the collections of subscribing libraries from all over the world using WorldCat. NOTE: The holdings of libraries that do not subscribe, such as UMass Dartmouth and UMass Amherst, will not appear in your results. If you find an item you need, you may place an interlibrary loan request to have it sent to our library.

Students, faculty, and staff can use and borrow materials from any of the academic and research libraries which make-up the BLC. Cards are issued through the circulation desk on the first floor. A valid and activated UMassPass with library barcode is required. You can check out books from these libraries directly, just be sure to search their catalogs and contact the library before going there.

You can get a BPL eCard if you live permanently in Massachusetts, are living in-state for most of the year to attend school, commute to a Massachusetts employer on a sustained and regular basis, or if you own property in the state. This will give you access to their impressive collection of ebooks (and other digital resources) via services like Hoopla and Libby/OverDrive.
