Choose your research topic wisely. You may be working with the same topic for an entire semester. Choose something that is fun and interesting for you. Take a look at your text book. Look at the chapter titles. You may find something that sparks your interest. Search the library catalogue to see whether we have any books on topics that interest you. Go to the library and browse the shelves in both the Reference area on the first floor in the learning commons on the 5th floor. Be sure to find out which call number range your topic falls into so that you are looking in the right place! Have a look at a few recent journal issues for something that appeals to you.
Two journals that cover recent news in the sciences and engnieering are "Nature" and "Science". These are available in both paper and electronic formats. Look for the paper versions in the Library Livingroom.
