The first time you use Interlibrary Loan, you need to set up your account, which is called Illiad. This is where you will place requests and retrieve your electronic articles. To set up your account, go to the main Interlibrary Loan website and click on "Login to your Illiad Account" button.
After you have set up your account, you can choose from these forms to get started, but there are other format options on the Illiad site. Don't forget to complete all the starred fields and you will be notified by email when your request arrives.
If you need materials we don't own or subscribe to, request it for free through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service!
Login with your UMassD credentials and choose the form that matches the type of item you want to request (e.g. article, book chapter, book). You'll receive an email when your item arrives. First time users will need to register for an ILLiad account. Electronic items, such as articles and scanned book chapters will go right to your ILLiad account, but books need to be picked up at our Access Services desk.
