Law Library Introduction

During the period of remote learning due to COVID-19, temporary access has been granted for a variety of online resouces.


Starting the week of Aug. 23rd, 2021: The Library and the law school building is accessible to current students, faculty, and staff by card access. Library employees do not have the ability to activate cards. Rather, access is configured by the UMass Pass Office in collaboration with the law school to ensure enrollment and eligibility. For any questions or issues with your UMass Pass, please reach out to the Dean of Students, Julie Cahill ( or the UMass Pass office on main campus


This tab is used for any law library updates relevant to the pandemic.  There may be changes to resources and services during this time. Please email if you have any questions.

Reserve Books

The Law Library is currently scanning all first week readings which can be accessed on our new TWEN page.  Just add the page "Law Library Reserve Readings" and click on your class link.  We expect to have this page up and running by the middle of the week of Aug. 22nd. Are we missing a reading?  Just email and we will include it on the new TWEN page.

Document Delivery Services

Now that onsite learning is back, you may check out our reserve books for a period of 2 hours and scan them as needed until your books arrive. We will scan the 1st week's readings only and post them to TWEN.

If you need access to materials in our print collection but cannot come onsite due to extenuating circumstances, we can provide you with document delivery via email.  Fair Use and copyright restrictions are considered for the number of pages we can scan. If you do not have access to documents by email, librarians can arrange for mail delivery or curbside pickup. Please email document delivery requests to  

Wolters Kluwer Online Study Aid Library

In addition to our West Academic Study Aid Library, The law library community now has access to the Wolters Kluwer Study Aid Library through which is accessible under Quicklinks on the Law Library Homepage.  This library offers online access to over 200 popular study aids including the Examples and Explanations, Emanuel Law Outlines, Glannon Guides, and more! You can read content online; download PDF versions of resources to read offline; add notes, highlights, and/or bookmarks to content in optional personalized accounts.
