Law Library Resource Guide

About

This page is intended as an introduction to using the law library printers and scanners.

Printing

Visit myprintcenter.umassd.edu to upload print jobs from your laptop or other device. Log in to the system using your UMass Dartmouth credentials (the same as your email).

The library has print release stations where you can access your print jobs. Each semester a print allotment of $40 is allocated to your UMass Pass. After you send a document to the printer, you swipe your card at the release terminal and the job will be deducted from your print funds.

We highly recommend you download the Pharos Secure Release Mobile app. This will allow you print any file from your phone touch free, including scans. Find more printing help on the CITS website.

Did you know? Lexis offers free printing! When you choose to print cases, statutes, law reviews, etc. through Lexis, you may pick up your free prints at the circulation desk.

Scanning

The Toshiba printers also work as scanners, once you've tapped your ID on the scanner hit the "home" icon for more options.  The scanners will send your scan to an email account, or you may save directly to a flash drive.

We also have one Mobile Scanner (A CZUR LensPro) available for check out (note: Macs may require a USB to USB-C adaptor).

If you would rather use your phone we recommend a few apps:

  • OneDrive Scan (works great with Pharos Secure Release Mobile App!)
  • Drive Scan
  • Adobe Scan
  • Microsoft Lense
