Bioengineering uses the concepts and methods of the life sciences and applies them to engineering for the betterment of living organisms.

Civil Engineering is the design and construction of public works. Environmental Engineering is the use of Civil Engineering to improve the natural environment.

Electrical and Computer Engineering is the use of the scientific technology of electricity, especially the design and application of circuitry and equipment for power generation and distribution, machine control, communications, and computer hardware and software.

Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that encompasses the generation and application of heat and mechanical power and the design, production, and use of machines and tools.
