Law Faculty Guide to Library Services

This guide is intended for law faculty to understand key services and resources available to them via the UMass Law Library.

What is the Faculty Liaison Program?

The UMass Law Library Faculty Liaison Program pairs each full time faculty member with a librarian who can be reached for any of the services for faculty described in this guide. Each liaison librarian serves as the first contact for her faculty members whenever items or services are needed.

The services we offer to faculty include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Faculty-Focused Collection Development
  2. Research assistance
  3. Finding and providing access to supplementary materials for your students
  4. Document delivery and inter-library loan ("ILL")
  5. Instructional services
  6. Research strategy consultations
  7. Research assistant training

If faculty members require additional services to support teaching and scholarship, they should contact their assigned liaison.
