Library Orientation Guide for Students

Librarian Liaisons

What are librarian liaisons and what do they do?

Each librarian has one or more subject specialties and they work closely with the academic departments that correspond to those specialties.  Some of the things they do with the academic departments include:

  • Teaching research instruction sessions for their classes
  • Ordering books, journals, and databases
  • Assisting students on research assignments
  • Assisting faculty with their research

Best Ways to Contact Us

You can contact any librarian for immediate assistance.

This is particularly helpful if:

  • You need help right away
  • You haven't declared a major
  • There's no liaison listed for your subject area

How to Find Us

Our offices are located on the second floor in suite 233.  Stop by Monday - Friday 9AM-5PM for assistance!
