Law Library Introduction

About

This page provides information about what to do when you would like a book or article that our library does not own.

A World of Books at Your Fingertips

Books and Articles Delivered!

If through your research you come across a citation to an item that we do not have in our collection, please contact a librarian in-person, by email, or by phone to request the book or article from another library.

The arrival time for interlibrary loan requests varies.  It often takes about a week for a book to arrive from another library.  Articles usually take 48 hours.  The loan period also varies because it is determined by the library that owns the material.  A 30 day loan is common for books.

You may also choose to place ILL requests yourself using your UMD credentials.
