Please refer to the policies below, but note that we are not currently offering reserves or equipment loans during the Spring 2021 semester. We also have extended our due dates to April 28, 2021. Please contact our Circulation Desk (508-999-8750) with any questions.
Materials may be renewed up to three times, either in person or by telephone, as long as no one else has requested them and the items are not overdue. At the end of the semester, students must be registered for the coming term in order to renew library materials.
Renew through your Primo Account! If you are on our homepage, click on "Advanced Search" to get into Primo. Then sign in and you can open your account. Just be aware that due dates may differ if you are a student, faculty, or staff.
All library materials have a due date stamped inside the cover when they are checked out. Materials become overdue the first day after the due date and borrowing privileges are suspended. Non-receipt of an overdue notice does not remove responsibility for returning library materials.
Fines:
Fines will be cut in half if they are paid when the items are returned and if they were due in the current semester for books and AV materials only.
Use the search box below to run a quick search for books, or use the advanced search page to limit your material type to books prior to searching.
Library Card = UMass Pass
Currently registered students of UMass Dartmouth are eligible to borrow upon presentation of a valid UMass Pass. We cannot accept any other forms of ID such as a driver's license. If you should forget your ID and need to borrow something, we can hold your materials for one day.
ALL library patrons, no matter what their status, must not have any overdue library materials/equipment or outstanding fines in order to have borrowing privileges.
Length of Loans
Books should be returned as soon as they are no longer needed and are due thirty days after they are borrowed. Participants in special programs are limited by the length of the program.
Maximum Items of Borrowed Items at One Time
AV materials = 10
Books = 30
Lost or Damaged Materials/Equipment:
If library material is damaged beyond repair or is lost, the patron is billed for the replacement cost of the material plus any fines.
If the lost material is found within sixty (60) days after the charges have been paid, a refund of the replacement cost only will be given. Refunds are not immediate. They will be generated through the University Business Office.
