Check with a reference librarian to see if we own the material you are looking for, or if you should request it through Interlibrary Loan. Contact a librarian through online chat or phone (508-999-8678).
Our Interlibrary Loan department can help you obtain articles and books from other libraries*. That means if you need something we don't have access to here at UMass Dartmouth, you can still get it.
* NOTICE: Sorry, textbooks and other loanable material (DVDs, CDs, etc.) required for UMass Dartmouth classes that are available for sale at the campus store may not be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
Interlibrary Loan adheres to UMass Dartmouth Library policy regarding overdue circulating material. There will be a 25 cents per day fine on overdue items. Material recalled by the lending library, and material beyond three overdue notices (automatically recalled) will incur a $1/day fee. Please be sure to return your item prior to the due date. Remember: Inter-library materials are not semester loans, regardless of UMD status, and are the property of another institution. If an extension of the loan is required, that decision is at the discretion of the lending library. Renewal requests must be submitted 1 week prior to the due date. Please request your renewals by Sending Email to ILL department. You will be notified if the renewal has been granted (along with a new due date) or denied, as soon as the lending library makes a decision.
If you need a book we don't own, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan. Keep in mind we cannot request textbooks or required reading for classes.
Books may take 1-2+ weeks to arrive, so make sure to order them early!
